The Forkesch tower, or the goldsmiths tower, had been one of the three main defense towers. It was built between 1494-1534 and had three storeys. Its roof had a pyramid structure under which a special balcony-like part was made for the guards. On the walls of the tower you can see the thin loopholes. Until 1800 the tower had a clock, with a gong sound it indicated the exact time.
