St. Timothy's School

USA / Maryland / Pikesville /
 boarding school, private school

An elite private all girl's college preparatory boarding school, founded by Sarah Randolph Carter in 1882, it is a nationally regarded school, and many daughters of old wealthy New England and New York families are alums, and still attend today. It was originally based in Catonsville, and moved to it's current location in Stevenson in the 1920's. While it's atmosphere is not as heterogeneous nor it's academics as rigorous as long time rival's Bryn Mawr School, it boasts one of the best equestrian programs in the region. Notable alumni include renowned fashion designer Liz Claiborne and Andy Warhol's WASPy muse Edie Segdewick.
