Lake Como is a 10.1 acre man-made lake which receives water from an unnamed tributary of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. It is located in Lake Como Park in west Fort Worth, approximately five blocks south of Interstate 30. Neighborhoods including Ridglea North, Alamo Heights, Historic Camp Bowie, Como, Arlington Heights, Westridge Area, West Byers, and Ridglea Hills all impact the water quality of Lake Como. The Arlington Heights Railway Company ran a line westward from downtown to Lake Como.
Lake Como was built in 1889. The area was originally a recreation resort with a pavilion, casino, amusement rides, and a power plant.
