Republica Square (Recife)

Surrounded by Capibaribe River, the square comprises three gardens. In the first one, one can find the statue of the Count of Boa Vista. The second and largest stands between the Justice and Campo das Princesas Palaces. In this garden, one can also find, a tall Baoba tree, brought from Africa and the statue of the French engineer Vauthier. In the third part of square, ahead of the Santa Isabel theatre, one can find an iron statue, of a goddess
