Zlatograd Ethnographic Complex is the first and until the present moment, the only private Ethnography Complex. It was opened in 2001 with the help of Municipality of Zlatograd, on 24th May, which is a date of a special Bulgarian holiday, devoted to Bulgarian culture, education and Slavic writing.
The Ethnography Complex of Zlatograd Town represents one big open museum which shows how the town looked like a hundred of years ago.
There are multiple objects, some of them reconstructed thanks to the help of PHARE and SAPARD programs, and they reveal and reflect the nature and geographic characteristics and the rich millennial history of the Zlatograd ethno-cultural area.
