"Saint Prophet Elias" Monastery (Topliţa)

The church was built of spruce in Stanceni (Mures County) between 1845-1847 by the priest Gh. Ujica priest and his sons. In 1910 this church was moved to Toplita.
The Monastery "Saint Prophet Elias" was consecrated in 1928 by Miron Cristea, the first Patriarch of Romania, born here. There are now about 20 monks living here.
