Harghita is a county located in eastern Transylvania (sub Szekler Land), in central Romania. Miercurea Ciuc is the county seat. Harghita county is inhabited by Hungarians absolute majority. According to the 2011 census over 84% of the population declared themselves Hungarians.

Climate
