This building was the original Hilton Hotel that started the now multinational mega-chain. In 1919, Conrad Hilton came to buy a bank in Cisco, but the owner of the bank raised the price and frustrated Hilton saw the Mobley Hotel as a better investment. He purchased the hotel, rechristened it as the Hilton Hotel, and history started from that moment. The restored building is no longer a hotel, but serves as a landmark community center, museum and city park. Two of the original rooms were restored to show visitors.
