Located in the city center, in the Buritis Alameda, Avenida Assis Chateaubriand with street 1, Sector West, is the oldest heritage landscape of Goiânia, the Forest of Buritis occupying an area of approximately one hundred and twenty-five thousand square meters. Given station, gym and jogging track has three artificial lakes supplied by the Stream Buriti.
Since the occupation of the town until the present day, the area is experiencing interference that disfigure many unique features. The native vegetation, for example, was partly replaced by exotic plants, leaving only ten per cent of original forest.
