Funerary or mortuary temple of Ramesses III (c. 1184 - 1153 BC), with three circuits of fortifications and subsidiary buildings. The best preserved temple in Western Thebes, it was used as the administer center of the area during Dynasty 20 and the subsequent period of Egyptian history.
