Charachira Pond. This used to be the Dhobi Ghat (Washerman Working Area) during the Travancore King's time, in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The pond's shores were inhabited by washer man communities.

  • We threw stones to check the ,maximum distance the stones went. When the water overflow back in the 60's it was fun to walk with the over flowing water on the road. Miss that area very badly.
