A short hike from the old site of Giant Forest, this isolated monolith of a rock is directly above the Marble Fork of the Kaweah River. You can hike down from Sunset Rock to the river. It will intercept the river right at the bridge that takes drivers to Crystal Cave. But remember, if you go down, you must come back up. But the hike to the rock from old Giant Forest is quite easy.
