cave / caves, mine, entrance
Discovered in April 2000 while expanding the mine shaft, workers blasted into three previously flooded interconnected chambers (Queen's Eye cave, Crystal's cave and Candles cave) that contains many of the worlds biggest crystals ever found.
In all, there are four caves or chambers within the mine. The fourth (Swords cave) was discovered over 100 years ago.
Naica’s caves are located in a working mine and due to their excessive humidity and temperature are not accessible to the public.
