mine, gold mine
This is the La India gold mine surface rights area that Agnico-Eagle has executed surface access lease agreements with the property owners or possessors, allowing the company access to conduct mining and exploration work.
The surface rights include 3 ranches. The first is Rancho Bronces y Bajios (also known as La Cieneguita) in which the North Zone mineral reserve and resource is entirely contained in this fee simple private property, owned directly by Grayd Mexico. The second is Rancho La Amargosa in which the La India part of the North Zone resource is entirely contained within this private property whose title was assigned to Grayd Mexico by judicial resolution. Agnico-Eagle employees currently occupy the ranch house and ancillary buildings; the company has constructed field camps, offices, and storage buildings on the property. The third is Rancho El Duraznito in which most of the Main Zone reserve and resource lie. The current possessor of the land is Casimiro Monge Carillo, the son of the deceased registered owner, Casimiro Monge Willem. Agnico-Eagle has conducted exploration on the property under the auspices of a written exploration contract with Casimiro Monge Carillo under which Agnico-Eagle was allowed to conduct surface exploration including road construction and drilling in consideration for annual payments. In July 2012, Agnico-Eagle secured a long-term lease agreement (30-year temporary occupation) with Casimiro Monge Carillo for the remaining surface rights required to develop and mine the Main Zone deposit.
