Current site of longtime Atlanta-area horse race. Event originated in 1966 at Horseshoe Bend off Holcomb Bridge Road just north of Atlanta. Event held 1970-1993 at Seven Branches Farm near Cumming, GA. Proceeds benefit various charities. The annual event is the only day parimutuel betting is allowed in the state of Georgia. Races usually begin around noon and last until dark. 2009 event scheduled for April 25.
