Mitchell 1&2 are oil-fired and used infrequently. Unit-3 has a wet lime FGD scrubber supplied by GE Environmental Services. In February 2003, a pilot mercury removal plant was completed at Mitchell. It is anticipated that this will provide up to 90% Hg removal at a cost substantially lower than powdered activated carbon injection
