Started life as a tunnel for the South Pennsylvania Railroad. Was abandoned and acquired by the PA Turnpike Commission and turned into a vehicle tunnel. Was bypassed in 1964
Now used for wind tunnel testing by Chip Ganassi Racing. Has two turn tables located on each end so the car or cars being tested can run from one end to the other, drive onto the turntable and rotate to face back the way they came to save time on the test runs.
