One of the most scenic spots in the Bhavani River Basin. The River is named after Goddess Bhavani, whose water was so pure descending from the hills of Nilagiri (Blue Mountain) that the farm laborers used to drink the water without any treatment in the 1950's. Today the river is polluted by the bleachers, dyers and other industrial polluters that even taking bath may cause skin rashes. Eastern Ghats on the North, lush green paddy fields spread around, Panai tree lined Arakkankottai Channel on the North, winding river with whitewater rapids, trussed steel bridge of the Bungalowpudur-Gobi road on the East, this location is the darling of all Koliwood movie producers. With a wide sandy beach it is a great picnic spot for lovers!
