A very scenic part of the Bhavani River Basin that is most frequently used by the Koliwood producers for shooting the rural scenaries. This river named for Goddess Bhavani is very blessed. The water used to be so pure that the labors working in the paddy fields used to drink it without treatment. Now everybody carry bottled water to the fields for consumption. The Eastern Ghats on the North side, green rice fields around, Panai trees along the Arakkankottai Channel with winding Bhavani, it is a sight no one should miss. A great spot for picnics, swimming etc. but beware of the rapids and high water.
