Garadgaon Reservoir was created as a result of construction of Garadgaon Dam of Garadgaon irrigation Project . Official Designation of the The Project is " Garadgaon D - 03825" . Locally this is also known as " Garadgaon Talav " or " Garadgaon Lake" . Project was constructed as part of irrigation projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1994 and impounds Bordi River . Nearest city to dam is Khamgaon and the Dam is situated in Buldana Taluka of Buldana District of Maharashtra . The dam is earth fill gravity dam. The purpose of the dam and project is Irrigation . The dam is divided in two portions by the Spillway. The measured length of The portion on the left side ( West ) of the spillway is 356 m ( 1167.98 Feet ) + The portion on the Right ( East ) side of the spillway is 754 m ( 2473.75 Feet ) . The Total length of the Dam , including the Spillway is 1265 m ( 4150.26 Feet ) . while the height of the dam above lowest foundation is 14,8 m ( 48 55 Feet ) .
Information on Spillway is not available . Spillway length is not known . However measured length of the spillway is 155 m ( 508.53 Feet ) .Spillway appears to be of other type and is not gated .
