Opened on March 15th, 1928 with 115 adult care beds the hospital underwent a major expansion in 1974 with the addition of a 10 storey tower. Expanded further after a 1994 merger to form part of Windsor Regional Hospital, the newly named Metropolitan Campus has 320 beds and is home to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
