Bulgarian orthodox church St. Demetrius (Sveti Velikomachenik Dimitar) was built in the former Vladislavovo village named on the crusader polonian-hungarian-croatian king Władysław III Jagiełło Warneńczyk (Vadislaus, or Ladislaus III of Varna) died near by in the battle against turks (battle of Varna) in 1444. Now the former village is а Vadislav Varnenchik neighborhood of city ​​of Varna.
The construction of the church started in 1884, just 6 уеars after the liberation of Bulgaria from the Turks yoke, and spred in 1902, the bell tower with high about 17 m to the top of the cross and nartex was finished in 1939. The church is about 290 sq.m, ~ 15 m x 28 m in yard of 5,000 sq.m.
