Darvenitsa Monastery "Holy Prophet Elijah" (Sofia)

The Darvenitsa Monastery "Holy Prophet Elijah" is assumed that in 1595. During the Sofia Uprising there was a massacre of insurgents in the area. Since then it has been considered sacred and a cross was erected there, later a chapel was built. Subsequently, low buildings were completed and so the monastery was formed. was built next to the current one, which was built in 1924.
