Camden is a city in and is the county seat of Ouachita County in Southern Arkansas. It has a population of 11,700. It is the principal city of the Camden Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Ouachita and Calhoun counties. It was founded in 1824 as Ecore Fabre and was incorporated as a city and officially named "Camden" in 1844.
