ruins, archaeological site
Tindari, or as it was known, Tyndaris or Tyndarion, is mostly Roman-era ruins now, but the city was founded by the Greeks in 396/395 BCE. Walls can still be traced around the site, and it includes the land on which the Sanctuary stands today.
