Ruins of the greek town of Heloro. Founded by the Korinthian-Siracusans in the VII century BC along the ''Via Elorina'', route that connected Siracusa to Kamarina (in province of Ragusa). In 214BC the town surrended to the Roman General Claudio-Marcello. It survived through the ''bizantine era'' (535 - 830ad) but was nearly completely destroied by the Arabs in the 832.
