Subway station “ Station Square” -1 first came into exploitation in 1966. The authors of the station project are the architects: G. Melkadze and V. Abramishvili. The construction was carried out by “ Tbilkalakproject”.
Metro station “ Station Square”-1 is station from where the change into the second subway branch is possible. The station has entrances from three sides. The arch located on the border of the escalator and the hall, is decorated with the high relief depicting the bowl and sword dedicated to 1500 years jubilee of the city.
