As one steps in here, this remote and solitari island with the sounds of roaring waves of the river of Matla causes uncanny feelings. One can see relics of ancient age i.e. broken rooms, signs of roads, wells or human skeletons in the deep forest alongwith the foot-prints of deers and tigers.Mind that,it's a dangerous place to come.Even the experinced fishermen and crab-hunters fear to step into this island.

  • How do you get to this island?
  • please add modern research's information about human settlements in this island.
  • Whatever history of the Sundarbans we know starts from the British lots. Some information on Kalibera may disclose altogether a new chapter of ancient history.
