This plot of land was the ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company, responsible for ExxonMobil's research in oil and gas exploration, development, and production. The center (consisting of an office building, parking garage, and a few smaller buildings) dated back to the 1950s, when Standard Oil Company of New Jersey (later Exxon) relocated the staff from Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2014, ExxonMobil relocated it to their campus in The Woodlands, and put it on the market, the entire complex was wrecked a few years later.
