  Igatpuri station has a neutral zone. This means it has both AC and DC zones and many trains change AC locos to DC locos at Igatpuri. In between both the zones, there is a neutral zone where is neither AC nor DC and the engine runs on its own inertia.

  after the end of 2012 there will no electric loco change at igatpuri. Coz all the ac locos will be able to enter mumbai central railway. Pure ac locos have already entered mumbai western railway
