Foxtown is named after the Fox Theatre, the grand theatre of Detroit. Another theatre located here is the Fillmore. Many bars, like the State and Hockeytown Cafe, also are located here. Two of Detroit's sports teams, the Tigers and the Lions, are in this tiny district. As is Detroit's Athletic Club and 36th District Court.
