BALLS is the premier Research Rocket Launch in the Continental US. BALLS is held every year in the Black Rock Desert, North of Reno, near Gerlach, Nevada. It brings dedicated rocketry enthusiasts devoted to the leading edge of non-professional rocketry activities together for the best demonstration of research motor design using today's best technologies and probably the largest nonprofessional rockets seen anywhere. It is hosting by Tripoli Rocket Association, and is their annual research launch. Launch waivers to 100,000 feet and rocket motors from size K though S.
