  • The Hub of the lower North Island - 3hrs to New Plymouth (West), 2hrs to Napier (East), 3hrs to Taupo (North), 1.45hrs to Wellington (South). Home of the Wind Turbines - on the Ranges to the East of PN.
  • That's a bit of a distortion of the truth, Palmy is the bogan hub of the north island. I know, I've lived there.
  • The area of Palmerston North City is much larger than the polygon shown. It extends to Ashhurst in the East and to between Linton and Tokomaru to the Douth.
