Te Apiti Wind Farm is located on the North Island of New Zealand, about 18 km ENE of Palmerston North and 5 km east of Ashhurst. The first wind farm in NZ to supply the national grid, it was commissioned in 2004 and consists of 55 Vestas V70/1650 (power 1 650 kW, diameter 70 m) wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 90.75 MW.
