Te Rere Hau Wind Farm is located on the North Island of New Zealand, about 11 km ESE of Palmerston North. It consists of 97 Windflow 33-500 wind turbines (power 500 kW, diameter 33.2 m) with a combined nominal capacity of 48.5 MW. These turbines are unusual in that they are 2-bladed (unlike most 3-bladed modern turbines) and are manufactured by New Zealand based Windflow.
The wind farm was constructed in 4 official stages. Stage 1 consisted of 5 turbines and was completed in 2006; Stage 2 (28 turbines) and Stage 3 (32 turbines) followed in 2009; and Stage 4 (32 turbines) completed the installation in 2011.

Note that the assignment of specific turbines to these 4 stages is a bit speculative. Stage 1 is the only one that is certain - since there are photos showing just the 5 original turbines. Stage 4 (no photos) is said to be "in the east" and Stages 2 & 3 (both being completed in the same year) make up "the rest".
