Morris Schinasi Residence

USA / New Jersey / Cliffside Park / Riverside Drive (Service Road), 351
residence, interesting place, movie / film / TV location, French Renaissance (architecture)

Designed c. 1909 in the French Renaissance style by William B. Tuthill with iron doors, fixtures, and some decoration by Tiffany Studios. The roof was fabricated by Ludowici. When built, there was a Prohibition-era tunnel connecting the English basement of the mansion under Riverside Drive to the banks of the Hudson River. It was refurbished by Columbia professor Hans Smit in 1979.

The home served as a major filming location for the show "White Collar" as the location of Neal Caffrey's apartment in several episodes. It was most recently sold for $14M in 2013 by a new owner who removed the first floor's historic coffered ceiling.
