Former Barbara Jordan Post Office which was designed by Wilson, Morris, Crain & Anderson, enveloping an earlier 1930's train station on the site. First opened in 1962 and named in honor of former U.S. Representative Barbara Jordan, this complex once served as the central United States Postal Service (USPS) facility for Houston, Texas. The facility was permanently closed on May 15, 2015.

In August 2015, Lovett Commercial, a Houston developer purchased the 16-acre tract to develop a mixed-use development called "Post HTX" which opened in November of 2021. Post HTX offers a mix of shopping, dining, office, and event space including a large food hall and rooftop park. OMA New York was the architect for the conversion for Lovett Commercial which added a fascinating central staircase atrium.

The Sam Houston Station Post Office at 1500 Hadley Street in Midtown now serves as Houston's central post office.
