 museum, industrial area

Soho House Museum is located at The Soho Avenue, Handsworth, Birmingham, B18 5LB, West Midlands, England, just two miles from Birmingham City Centre.
Soho House Museum was the home of Matthew Boulton, one of Birmingham's most famous sons. Boulton is famous for his associations with James Watt and the Lunar Society and left his mark on industrial development in Birmingham. The house has been painstakingly restored to its Eighteenth Century glory and reflects Boulton's taste and style. There is also an exhibition gallery and education room on site that has a lively programme of community focussed exhibitions and events.
You can see some of the products of the Matthew Boulton's nearby factory, where buttons, buckles, clockes and vases and silver and sheffield plate tableware were made and he developed the steam engine in partnership with James Watt.
