Grand Staricase

This would have been the main access into the palace complex from the southern portion of the acropolis. Since it allowed access to what has been identified as a cult center below, the staircase was probably used for religious processions between it and the palace megaron. The main palace entrance, however, was the Propylon at its northwestern corner.
