Peace Bridge - Queen Elizabeth Way, Fort Erie, Ontario - Baird Drive, Buffalo, New York

The Peace Bridge is one of the most heavily used bridges connecting the United States and Canada and there are frequent delays. Over 1 million trucks cross the bridge every year. The bridge is over a mile long and has only three lanes, including a center lane than can be assigned to serve the peak direction of traffic flow. It is close enough to the Rainbow Bridge, Whirlpool Rapids Bridge, and Lewiston-Queenstown Bridges that you can sometimes make a choice as to which bridge you want to use.

The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority, which runs the bridge, likes to tout the Peace Bridge as consistently the fastest crossing with the lowest tolls in the region. User opinions seem to echo this. However, if you are a NEXUS holder you will probably want to look more carefully at the NEXUS only Whirlpool Bridge.

Peace Bridge is open 24 hrs per day, 7 days a week, year round. NEXUS accepted as identification in all lanes. This is a Class A U.S. port which means it is a designated port for all aliens. Foreign nationals entering the U.S. should use Class A Ports of Entry. For more information see www.ezbordercrossing.com/list-of-border-crossings/new-y...
