  • 3RD JAN 2010 DEAR ALL CHERUBALA FAMILY MEMBERS, I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO SEE A WEBSITE ON CHERUBALA PATHAYAPURA HOUSE AS WELL GOOGLE MAP TRACING THE HOUSE AND CHERUBALA KENAMPULLI MALA.MY HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS AND HEARTFELT THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO PUT THIS HISTORY OF CHERUBALA HOUSE IN CHITTUR TOGETHER FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.CHERUBALA PATHAYAPURA HOUSE WHERE MY MOTHER C P KAMALAM AMMA AND MANY OTHERS WERE BORN SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A HERITAGE HOUSE TO BE PRESERVED FOR EVER. ALTHOUGH MY MOTHER AND MYSELF HELPED IN A SMALL WAY THE RESTORATION OF BOTH THE HOUSE AS WELL AS THE TEMPLE IN KENAMPULLI MALA SOME YEARS AGO,WE STILL NEED TO CONTINUE TO REPAIR AND RESTORE THE PATHAYAPURA WHICH IS AGAIN FALLING APART. I WONDER WHO IS LOOKING AFTER THE WELFARE OF THE HOUSE AND TEMPLE NOW? DURING MY LAST VISIT TO CHITTUR,MORE THAN A YEAR AGO, I WAS NOT ABLE TO MEET THE GENTLEMAN CONCERNED.C P KUMARAN WHO LIVES IN TRICHUR TOLD ME THERE IS A NEED FOR SOME CO-ORDINATED EFFORTS IN THIS MATTER AS OTHERWISE THE PATHAYAPURA MAY JUST FALL TO PIECES AT THE NEXT RAINY SEASON.I AM SURE THERE ARE ENOUGH CHERUBALA MEN AND WOMEN BOTH IN INDIA AS WELL AS ABROAD WHO CAN HELP IN SOME WAY BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION FOR RESTORATION WORK.PLEASE CONSIDER.   • 10th june 2012 Dear all in the CP Family in Chittur and elsewhere, I wrote the above concern some two years ago.I am afraid nothing has been done to restore this Tharavad house until now.I am told the last person living there Chinnamuchechi has gone elswhere to live because she fears the House is going to collapse anytime.This is a pathetic state of affairs! It is indeed sad, very sad that no-body -yes no body has come forth to help in this matter until now. Our Heritage house will soon wither away in the Wind, Rain and Sun.This is your last chance and opportunity dear friends and relatives to do something before its too late!
