This samll irrigation dam was built during 1950's,to augument the water from the falls of Gujana River. It is 11 km from the town of Kodur. The Water fall that empties water into Vageti Kona is the State of Andhra Pradesh's biggest waterfall with water faling from a height of 244 feet. Gunjana falls is thrice bigger than most popular Talakona falls. The surrounding Hills are tinged with red-quarzite rocks. The Gunjana derived its name from Kunjara(elephant). There are plans afoot for developing Gunjana falls into a tourist spot that is accesible from VPR Kandrica(Venkatapathi Raju Kandrica) and Pandetipalli and from Tirupati). The serene location with thick vegetation ,red-colored quartzite rocks, wild ferns near the waterfall will enchant the visitors.
