On September 4, 1984, one of the torpedo boats "Komsomolets" type (project 123K) of the Bulgarian Navy was placed on a pedestal for eternity in the town of Tutrakan. There, on the bank of the great river Danube, it was erected as a sign of the "Eternal and unbreakable friendship between the two brotherly peoples - Russian and Bulgarian, and is a new symbol of this friendship".
