The Clerk to Council prepares the agenda for County Council meetings; records and transcribes minutes of Council meetings; processes ordinances, resolutions, and proclamations; is the custodian of the County seal; maintains minute books and County Code of Ordinances; attests and certifies official documents on behalf of the County; prepares advertisements of public hearings, meetings and legal notices; and performs all duties as required by State Code and local ordinances.

Georgetown County Council will hold regular meetings in 2011. Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. in County Council Chambers, located at 129 Screven Street (old Georgetown County Courthouse), Georgetown, SC. All meetings are open and the public is invited to attend.
