It is the Cathedral of the Roman Catholics. It is the Cathedral church for all the Catholics of the Archdiocese of Accra. It is a beautiful western Style cathedral. It was built by Divine Word Missionaries who came to Accra in 1938. The work on the cathedral began in 1952 under the leadership of Fr.Jud SVD and completed in 1956. It measures 224 feet in length and 64 in width and is 51 feet high. The tower reaches 135 feet into the sky.
