Everest Mine is located on the southern portion of the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex near the town of Mashishing, in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. It was originally owned by Aquarius Platinum and the project was awarded its mining licence in June 2003, and construction commenced in October 2004. In June 2015 Northam Platinum Limited purchased the project and the mining licence was transferred in November 2015.
Comprises:
Two decline shaft systems completed end FY2010 - one a belt, people, material and vehicle access way and the other a vehicle access way. A third access way, the valley box cut is currently under construction. A concentrator plant with a capacity of 230,000tpm
