Spaso House has been the residence of U.S. ambassadors in Moscow, Russia, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and the former Soviet Union in 1933. It is located at No. 10 Spasopeskovskaya Square. This is 1 mile west of the Kremlin--a complex of palaces, cathedrals, and towers surrounded by the Kremlin Wall that serves as the residence of the President of the Russian Federation and his Administration.
