The twelve acres of Trafalgar Park house the UK High Commission chancery; 'Traflagar House', the High Commissioner's Official Residence; and diplomatic staff quarters.
The original property house was built around 1810. The 1907 earthquake destroyed the house, but it was rebuilt. At Independence in 1962 the British Government aquired it as the official residence of the British High Commissioner.
