  • 'Swami Saranam' to all. This is Karthik from Thekkemadom Street.
  • The above information, took my life back by almost 50 years. Thekkemadam Temple, Sasthaprathi, and the daily trek to the Sastha temple was a ritual for me, in the formative days of my youth. I lived in Lalan Road, adjacent to the temple. There have been many elders, noted personalities like Singeri Swamiji, Kanchi Kamakoti Swami, V R Krishna Iyer, Dr B Ramakrishna Rao, and many scholars, popular personages, religious heads, who had visited the temple precints. Lord Sastha, the presiding deity, has been good to the Tamilbrahmins. They have setlled across India and various destinations in the World. I would love to visit this place and the temple. Presently, I am at Bangalore.
  • Dear All, Swami Saranam. This is Girish from Mumbai. With the blessings of Lord Ayyappa, we visit Sabarimala every year during Makara Vilakku and since the past 4-5 years, our kettunira is held at Mattancherry and we go to the Ayyappa temple - it is a very divine place and the sastha preethi conducted there is a must visit for every ayyappa devotee. Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa.
  • Swami Sharanam, how can i forget thekkemadom shastha preethi n vanchi pattu. Lord has been kind enough to people in and around mattancherry and with his blessing family`s are in sound health.
  • This is Ravi, I have spent the best part of life in the temple precints and the parambu nearby. Even today when I hear Yesudas sung "Ayyappa saranam ayyappa" I travel back in time to the days when I enjoyed carefree life playing in the temple. Cannot forget the Saasthapreethi, the fishes in the temple kolams, playing cricket in the temple parambu, the BWA elders who took tuitions to help Brahmin kids pass SSLC, the innumerable friends all known by their nick names.....just precious times!
