A former coal-burning power plant run by Exelon/PECO on the north side of Phoenixville. Cromby Unit 1 and Unit 2 were installed in 1954 and 1955, respectively. Unit 1 was a 144-megawatt (MW) coal fired unit that was one of Exelon’s most utilized units with more than 330,000 hours of service. Unit 2 was a 201 MW unit that operated on either natural gas or No. 6 fuel based on fuel markets. 421 MW max Total Plant Gen. capacity.

Unit 1, retired from service on May 31, 2011.
Unit 2 retired at the end of 2011, when Cromby Station ceased as a generating plant.
